James “Pops” Young was an incredible man, husband, father, grandfather and everything in between. He was very well known in every community he lived in. Pops was a mobile home dealer for 40 years. Everywhere he went he took center stage. His amazing kind heart and a unique sense of humor. He was a comedian and jokester and he always had new jokes hardly ever repeating the same one even up till he passed. He was known for helping the homeless and complete strangers. I could write page after page about him but he was just so loved by me and he was my hero. He truly was a hero in every way in my life. He was always there for me and the rest of the family no matter what. Totally dedicated father and taught me that there is much more to life than worrying all the time. It doesn’t matter the day or time he was always singing when he got up in the morning. I have done music for 30 years, been signed several times but nobody promoted my music like pops did. He was married 54 years to my mom Brenda young. He took care of her at all cost, always kept a roof over the family. I know that God needed him and he will be the funniest man in heaven. I’m so thankful he has a new body and is in heaven celebrating the long journey of 82 years. He will be majorly loved and missed.
