Drel Elijah Timmons, 26, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, entered eternal rest and gained his wings on May 18, 2026. Born on November 13, 1999 to Shanell McFadden and Bryant Timmons of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born with a spirit that could light even the darkest room, Drel was known for his ambition, his love for family, and the undeniable energy he carried wherever he went. He was a proud graduate of North Forsyth High School, Class of 2018, where he was an elite member of North Forsyth Vikings football team. There he formed friendships and memories that would remain close to his heart throughout his life. Drel had a passion for gaming, a sharp entrepreneurial mindset, and a deep love for pursuing success and creating opportunitiesfor himself and those he cared about. He dreamed boldly, moved with determination, and carried within him a drive that reflected both resilience and vision.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents: ElijahMiller of South Carolina, and Brenda (Alvin) Kinzer of New Jersey. Drel Elijah Timmons was a devoted father and leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved children- King Timmons, ntrell Timmons, Shy’Nell Timmons, Joceilli Timmons and an unborn child— all were the center of his world and the greatest joy of his life. The love he carried for them was immeasurable, and every part of who he was reflected his desire to protect, provide for, and love them wholeheartedly. He also leaves behind his maternal grandmother Mary (Clarence) Bonner of South Carolina, siblings Deques Solomon, Jamari Hickson, KeShawn Solomon, all of Winston-Salem, NC; Channin Timmons of Charlotte, NC; and My’Angel Timmons of Durham, NC, along with a host of loving family members, friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
There will be a Public Viewing held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Dreams Do Come True Event Center, located at 5207 Germanton Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105, from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
All floral arrangements may be delivered to the funeral home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
